Particle accelerators

IRELEC, on the strength of its initial experience in designing and manufacturing electron beam curing machines, has developed services and products in the particle accelerator field.

- Preliminary studies
- Particle transport studies, optical element calculations
- Technological studies involving transport line, vacuum, electrostatics, radiation protection
- Assistance in main contracting, turnkey supplies.
- Turnkey supplies.

Induction accelerators

IRELEC collaborated with the CEA-CESTA to develop specific skills in the technology of induction accelerators, mainly used for intense X-ray pulse generation.

IRELEC has supplied the following machines :
- LELIA injector
- LELIA accelerator
- PIVAIR accelerator 7.2 MeV -­ 3 kA cell operating voltage 270 kV
- AIRIX accelerator 20 MeV- 2.5 kA (first experience of the nuclear simulation program)

Neutrons generators

IRELEC proposes neutron generators covering the 10¹⁰ n/s to 3 x 10¹² n/s range.

IRELEC has manufactured impulse generators for specific needs (pulsed source, fast pulsing…).

Ion source

- IRELEC proposes different ion sources :
- HF source
- Duoplasmatron source
- BERNAS type source.
